PARCC is Now IAR

Illinois School Districts have been waiting for information from ISBE regarding the 2018-19 state assessment. The following message was received from ISBE this week.

IAR Student Accommodations

School staff can begin to enter student accommodation indicators in SIS (or enter in to the school software package that feeds information into SIS). New Meridian will provide the test content/forms for the next two years to ensure compatibility and continuity through the transition. The agency will continue to use 100% PARCC content and forms built to the standard of the PARCC assessments, so the accommodations that were available last year, will be available for the spring 2019 administration.

ISBE reports the student accommodation indicators and rules have not changed and teachers can now begin to enter accommodations. ISBE allows teachers in districts whose Student Information System does not support entry and uploading to enter accomodations directly into ISBE SIS. Barrington 220 teachers will enter student IAR accommodations for IEP, 504, or EL students in Infinite Campus for uploading to ISBE. Teachers can begin entry of student accommodations January 23, 2019.
