Did you know that Sora, Barrington 220’s platform for eBooks and audiobooks, also offers digital magazines?
Staff can now enjoy the latest issues of your favorite magazines for free, right from your phone, iPad, or computer!
How to get started:
Install the Sora App on your device, or visit soraapp.com on your computer.
Find our district (Barrington 220) and choose one of the three levels.
Sign in using your district username and password.
Once logged in, scroll down to the Magazines section. You’ll find over 75 popular titles, including Newsweek, Discover, HGTV, Car and Driver, Sew News, Popular Science, Creative Steps, Runner’s World, and Food Network.
To read the latest issue, simply click Borrow.
To browse previous issues, click on the magazine title and choose Select another issue below the cover image.
Good news:
Magazines are always available—no holds, no waiting!
Unlimited readers can access the same issue at once.
All items are automatically returned on their due date.
Tip: All staff members can access all three Sora library levels.
Click the "hamburger menu" (☰) in the upper right hand corner.
Scroll to + Add a library and search for Barrington again.
- Add the other levels to expand your magazine and ebook selection.
Students also have access to grade-appropriate magazines when they log in, making this a great option for independent reading. (Adult magazines are not visible to students.)
